Christian has a Master of Arts degree in Information Science from the University of Regensburg. He worked as an international IT consultant in several software companies before joining Wolters Kluwer in 2001. Christian is Content Architect and head of Content Strategy and responsible for the content structures, metadata, taxonomies, and thesauri within Wolters Kluwer Germany. He manages text mining and automatic topical classification projects. He also represents Wolters Kluwer Germany in international projects like LOD2.

The talk will describe the content and business strategy of Wolters Kluwer Deutschland GmbH in the light of Linked Data technologies and Open Government Data. It will show that Linked Data perfectly suits the requirements of the emerging information industry with respect to flexibility and scalability. Insights into real world use cases and implementations in operational systems will further support this claim.
