OHIM, Head of Institutional Relations Service & Head of Linguistic and IT Cooperation Projects Sector
Born in 1966, Ingrid Buffolo qualified as a Telecommunications engineer from the University of Trier in Germany. After her thesis and some time working in the Project Centre for HP in Frankfurt, she joined the Societe Europeenne des Satellites in Luxemburg where she worked for six years in Business Administration and Project Management. In 1998 she joined the OHIM and moved in 2002 to the Quality Management Department. In 2009 she became Head of Linguistic and IT Co-operation Projects, her main responsibilities including the TMView, Euroclass (now TMClass) and Harmonized Goods and Services database projects. Since July 2011 Ingrid Buffolo is Head of Institutional Relations Service responsible for OHIM stakeholder relations, and is leading the Convergence programme in cooperation with the 25 European National Offices, her main aim being the creation of the European Trademark and Design Network.
